Bridgend County Borough Council (BCBC) are looking for a HG Vehicle Technician to support the Fleet Department. Do you have the passion to support our communities and are you a qualified Vehicle Technician with a minimum of NVQ Level 3? If you are, we want you to come and join our collaborative dynamic team based at our workshop in Bridgend.
You will need a good understanding of a workshop environment and familiarity of workshop tools and equipment including PPE which will be personally supplied on commencement. You will also have access to state of the art diagnostic equipment to repair all aspects of vehicles and Council equipment.

Our normal working hours are either between 06:00 — 16:00 or 07:00 — 17:00 four over five working days with a rolling rest day. Every five weeks you have a long weekend to support that feel good factor.
Successful candidates would be expected to undertake MOT Class 4 training within 6 months of taking role and IMI Level 3 EV Training within 12 months to support de art mental growth.Applicants should note that a criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) will be necessary for the successful applicant.In addition successful candidates will be expected to undertake Health Surveillance Assessments and complete Police Vetting as part of the pre-employment process.Closing Date: Wednesday 26 January 2021
