We are recruiting support staff to work across our adult social care services in Bridgend County Borough.
The ideal candidate will have experience in adult social care, in particular, working with vulnerable adults. Your experience could be from a similar role or from other opportunities such as a work placement, from your personal life, volunteering or as part of a training programme.
The council is committed to enabling people to have a voice and control of their own lives. We provide care and support adults in a range of settings; including their own home or residential provision.
We are looking to appoint staff who are able to:
• Provide support and personal care to individuals in their own home or community;• Promote independence, encourage and empower individuals to express their views and opinions and make informed choices;• Observe individuals and complete documentation as required
For these roles, you will need to be flexible to participate in shift work, which includes weekends, night shifts if required, bank holidays (for which you will receive an enhanced payment of a time and third). The hours will be arranged by the manager of the service and subject to the demands of the service.
Successful candidates must hold a QCF level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) Wales and Northern Ireland or predecessor qualification or be prepared to undertake training to achieve the award.
