Caswell Clinic provides a forensic inpatient and community service to the South and Mid-Wales area. The service takes referrals from the courts and prisons as well as local and high secure hospitals. The Clinic offers treatment and rehabilitation programmes to patients with a forensic history who are considered likely to return to the community or move on to supported placements.
You will be part of a dynamic, well-motivated Social Work team. The team comprises a Manager, Senior Practitioners and 4 Social Workers. You will also work very closely with health colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary Forensic Service. The team works in close collaboration with community based services throughout the South and Mid-Wales areas. Members of the team have the opportunity to engage in a number of initiatives, including the service development, policy development, working with victims, carers and families and contributing to research. You will carry a caseload of patients at the clinic and those who have been discharged to community settings.
Ideally, you will have two years’ post social work qualification and experience of working in mental health and/or criminal justice services. Approved Mental Health Professional status is also desirable.
