We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced individual to the role of a Residential Care Manager in Bryn Y Cae Bridgend; someone who is committed to empowering older people to be actively involved in choices and decisions about their care and support.
You will be responsible for the operational management of a Residential Care Home for older people with care and support needs, individuals with dementia and the provision of respite support.
A focus will be on person centred and person led services; you will be expected to develop opportunities for people and their families to actively engage in consultation processes and service development.
We’re looking for someone who can lead an established, and dedicated staff team with an inspirational leadership approach and a track record of developing and motivating staff teams.
You must have previous experience in a leadership and management role in a regulated setting, have a hands-on approach to care and support, be creative and forward thinking, and have a good knowledge of RISCA Standards and the responsibilities of being a Registered Manager with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW)
The role will involve taking the lead with other professionals to ensure statutory requirements are met and deliver outcomes that are driven by the Social Services & Wellbeing Act (Wales) 2014 and RISCA standards; ensuring the home is compliant with the relevant legislation and standards through continual monitoring and practical support.
The successful candidate will be part of a team developing our existing models of support and contribute to the wider development of social care services and community-based resources across the directorate.
The post holder will be responsible for the overall management, leadership and development of staff teams, oversee recruitment for the service and be responsible for the effective deployment of resources across the home to meet safe standards of support
Registration with Social Care Wales is a requirement of the position in addition to a recognised qualification in Leadership and Management
To support you in your role you will receive training, the opportunity to work within a team with support from colleagues, one to one supervision with your line manager, as well as regular team meetings.
For this post you will need to be flexible and be available to work evenings and weekends as and when required.
