We are a reflective organisation that continuously builds on it’s strengths and is committed to the principle that the most effective way of improving outcomes for all children, young people and families is through the provision of accessible, universal services. Join us and you will work in a rewarding environment where staff are valued and there is a commitment to your development. Our 16 Plus Team currently has an opportunity for a social worker to join them. The 16 Plus Team work to achieve the best long-term outcomes for the young people they work with. The team strives to support young people making their transition into adulthood an easier and manageable experience.
As a social worker in the 16 Plus Team you will be expected to work in partnership with young people, their carers and other professionals to complete high quality assessments in order to develop outcome focused Care and Pathway Plans. You will need to have a genuine interest in working with young people, committed to supporting positive outcomes and a person centred approach to your role. You will become part of an established and settled team. You will receive regular supervision, support and guidance and become part of a motivated and committed team.
The successful applicant must possess a Masters/Degree in Social Work and be registered as a Social Worker with Social Care Wales. The service incorporates both the requirements of the Social Services & Well Being (Wales) Act 2014 along with safeguarding our most vulnerable children and adults.
We encourage applications from both experienced Social Workers and those in their first two years of service. In return you will receive a robust induction, regular supervision, additional support and mentoring where required. Our programme of support for newly qualified social workers won the ‘Developing a confident and sustainable workforce’ award in the 2018 Social Care Wales accolades. Additionally you will be able to further your career with both development and promotional opportunities.
