Maple Tree House is an assessment and emergency therapeutic residential home for children aged 8 to 17 years of age. There are four beds in the assessment unit and two in the emergency unit. The home has an onsite behaviour analyst who assess young people, provides therapy and provides support to the staff team.
Maple Tree Houses uses Applied Behaviour Analysis and Trauma Informed Care to create an enriched environment that will help young people succeed and reduce emotional and behavioural challenges.
Our vision is to provide a high quality, short term, assessment and therapeutic unit for children and young people cared for by Bridgend County Borough Council. Trauma informed care and therapy are provided following the Trauma Recovery Model.
To make this vision a reality Maple Tree House has a dedicated team of staff who are all working towards the same outcomes. Team members are adaptive and resilient, they support each other to work towards the best outcomes for children.
We are looking for a senior posts who will assist the Residential Manager in the day to day running of the home. This includes co-ordinating and overseeing the work of the Residential Staff to ensure that children and young people’s needs are met safely in accordance with their individual plans and collaborative working with children/young people and parents/carers is maximised to assist in progressing goals and achieving positive outcomes. You will liaise with other professionals including social workers, police and health colleagues whilst leading shift. The service includes flexible outreach provision to children, young people, families and foster carers. Working as part of the residential team you will present a consistent approach to service delivery, assisting with service development and the implementation of the Directorate’s procedures.
You will be required to participate in shift work, which includes weekends and bank holidays. You will be paid an enhanced rate of time and a third for these hours. On occasions you will be required to carry out sleeping in duties, for which you will receive an additional payment for.
