We are looking to recruit a dynamic individual to work with targeted families and engage them in the learning process. The post will primarily support schools in the Maesteg cluster to strengthen links with parents / carers and the wider community in order to reduce the impact of poverty and disadvantage on educational attainment.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have a can do attitude and will be accustomed to working with parents / carers, families and schools.
The post will be part funded from a number of funding streams, including Welsh Government Families First and Communities First programmes. Communities First is a Welsh Government funded anti-poverty programme which works with the most deprived communities in Bridgend. Bridgend has 3 Communities First Cluster areas in Upper, Mid and Lower Bridgend.
The post holder will therefore work with the Learning Communities Team, schools and the Communities First Cluster Team to deliver agreed outcomes.
Applicants should note that a criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) will be necessary for the successful applicant.
