Bridgend County Borough Council is demonstrating its commitment to Protecting Vulnerable Adults through consistent implementation of the procedures for responding to referrals of abuse and neglect. Thus ensuring 'adults at risk' are protected as effectively as possible across Bridgend in accordance with legal requirements, Council policies, procedures, and Government initiatives.
We are looking for an enthusiastic proactive individual with an assertive, enabling and professional approach who can demonstrate their ability to protect 'adults at risk' through a record of involvement in risk assessment and management, multi agency working and practice development. Ideally you will have knowledge and experience of working within an adult community mental health team, also a working knowledge and experience of the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
You will need to demonstrate your achievements in a multi-agency working environment and have a good understanding of the Protection of Vulnerable Adult (POVA) policy and procedures.
You will be responsible for facilitating a multi agency response to referrals of vulnerable adult abuse within agreed time and practice frameworks. You will also assist and monitor the implementation of the adult protection policy by Bridgend County Borough Council and its partners identifying improvements required in practice as a result of learning the lessons through case review.
You must possess a recognised professional qualification e.g. social work, nurse etc.
