The National Adoption Service in Wales is a truly collaborative venture with the statutory and voluntary sectors working together to improve the outcomes for children who are in need of adoptive families. You will be dedicated to developing this partnership and person-centred approach to supporting all those affected by adoption.
This new senior post will help develop and manage a newly formed regional adoption service across the Western Bay region. Having overseen the implementation of the service, you will provide operational and strategic leadership and management of adoption provision across the Region to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, policies and procedures and performance measures.
These considerable and transformational changes offer the post holder a unique opportunity to develop and shape a high profile service. If you're seeking a challenging and high profile role within social care, this could be the role for you.
You will also promote and develop a cohesive, responsive and quality service in conjunction with partner agencies to meet identified needs and ensure best outcomes.
You will be a qualified and registered social worker with extensive strategic management experience and knowledge in the statutory arena of Children and Families Social Care Services. Significant experience (probably at least five years) of managing a service area or equivalent within Children's Services is also essential.
