Engagement and Transition Worker - Integrated Working and Family Support
Fixed Term up to 31st March 2017
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. With extensive experience of working with young people who are furthest away from engaging competitively in the labour market.
This post will form a crucial part of Local Authorities' implementation of the Youth Engagement and Progression Framework. As an Engagement and Transition Worker the post holder will proactively re-engage and maintain relationships with young people who have failed to make a successful transition from school, college and training and also with their families more broadly, as appropriate.
Working closely with the Engagement and Progression Coordinator and Careers Wales the post holder will be working peripatetically, and as such should have the ability to work both as a team, but also on their own initiative working to support young people in a variety of educational, community based and outreach settings.
Applicants should note that an Enhance Disclosure Check by the Criminal records Bureau will be necessary for the successful applicant.
The post may involve a maximum of 4 evenings per week and the occasional weekend work. It is essential for the post holder to possess a full valid driving license.
