The Street Works Section in the Street Scene Department of the Communities Directorate are seeking a Systems Technician with a detailed knowledge of and experience of working with Computerised Street Works Management Systems.
The Systems Technician will be responsible for using the existing Mayrise Street Works Management System to perform the following functions:
Maintaining Street Works Inspection Records and scheduling Street Works Inspections to be undertaken by our Street Works Inspectors.
Producing and maintaining records invoices of chargeable street works inspections undertaken and over-run charges levied against the Statutory Undertakers in accordance with The New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and Traffic Management Act 2004.
Producing performance monitoring reports and statistics based on inspections undertaken by Bridgend County Borough Council Street Works Inspectors.
The Systems Technician will also deal with day to day computer system management and some development issues; maintain records of defective utility apparatus and the system used to store this information. They will also be responsible for dealing with requests for apparatus information from the utility companies and further developing systems that ensure the efficient management of street works within the Bridgend County Borough area.
