The Supervised Contact Service within BCBC has undertaken a restructure which presents an exciting opportunity for new casual posts to be developed. The Supervised Contact Service now forms part of the Safeguarding Social Work teams, allowing for closer working with social work colleagues. We are seeking casual workers who will be able to work as and when required.
The successful candidate/s will be part of a busy team within Bridgend County Borough Council offering high quality contact for children, who are looked after by the Local Authority, and their families. We use a number of venues for the supervised contact and occasionally the contact may take place within the family home.
You will work within the guidance of a Team Manager and case-holding social workers, providing support tailored to the needs of the family.
Experience of working with children and their families is essential, and applicants should possess a relevant social care qualification in working with children and their families.
Applicants should note that an Enhanced Disclosure Check by the Criminal Records Bureau will be necessary for successful applicants for these posts.
