Our frontline services in Bridgend comprise of an Assessment Team and four generic Safeguarding Teams. This allows us to respond to children and families with complex needs or where there are early child protection concerns and provide high quality support and intervention for those with longer term needs. Our Assessment team responds to all initial contacts made to our Safeguarding & Family Support Service whilst our generic Safeguarding Teams provide a range of child protection and family support services for children and families within the borough including children who are looked after.
We currently have both full-time and part-time opportunities available for experienced social workers who are looking for a permanent position within our busy, motivated and supportive Safeguarding Teams. As an experienced Social Worker you will contribute to the effective running of our Safeguarding Teams, including handling complex and high risk cases as well as Court casework, in order to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people. A recognised social work qualification along with at least two years post qualification service and registration with the Care Council for Wales is essential.
Applicants should note that a criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) will be necessary for the successful applicant.
