Team Leaders play a vital part in maintaining and improving the quality of the Home Care service and helping us to meet the Regulations and National Minimum Standards for Domiciliary Care. Leadership and communication skills are essential as well as drive and enthusiasm. Under the direction of the Support at Home Organiser, you will work closely with the Co-ordinators in your team, Occupational Therapists, Care Managers and Support at Home Staff to ensure that the needs of service users are met through safe working practices.
Working as part of the BridgeStart Team, you will ensure that we provide our Support at Home staff with appropriate management, supervision and support, and monitor the quality of service. Holding weekly team meetings with the Occupational Therapist and Support at Home care staff. You will provide individual supervision and appraisal. You will also be responsible for visiting Service Users to ensure that we provide a good quality, effective and safe service. Knowledge and understanding of the needs of older and disabled people are essential while experience of the Home Care Service and staff supervision would be an advantage. You will need to hold a valid driving licence and have the use of a car in order to fulfil this role.
