Bridgend Childrens Social Care is currently going through an exciting and innovative remodelling process to provide a series of routes and pathways through care for children and young people, alongside this is a review of our existing fostering services and some new and innovative resources to support foster carer households.
This is an opportunity for a psychologist to join Childrens Social Care, working closely with residential staff, Bridgend Foster Care and placement services. As a psychologist you will work within the therapeutic 'complex case' hub of the placement service, working alongside a team.
You will be responsible for providing guidance and assistance from a psychological perspective to the hub and in respect of specific children informing their outcomes and how they can be attained. As the psychologist, you will be required to input into surgeries for professionals involved in the care of the individual child.
This will also include review and input a secure base Attachment Model training programme being offered to Foster carers, social worker and residential workers.
