Ty Cwm Ogwr Residential Accommodation for older people We provide person centred and outcome focused care to people who are supported in a permanent or short-term residential care placement in Ty Cwm Ogwr. Supporting people to maintain their independence, regain, improve and maintain skills of daily living, provide the best outcomes for people who need care and support in a safe environment.You will work as part of the kitchen team supporting the cook with daily tasks to ensure the management and standards of cleanliness and Infection control are maintained and a high standard and food is served to the individuals we look after at TY Cwm Ogwr. Your duties will include supporting the cook with main duties such as cleaning all the kitchen area throughout, preparing some foods, rotation of stock, supporting the cook preparing food, supporting the cook to serve the food. cleaning the dining areas, operating electrical good’s such as Dish washer and hot water urn, have a knowledge around Safer food Guidance, Have an awareness of different dietary needs, Fridge and freezer Temperatures, Food serving temperatures, use of chemicals within the kitchen area, food and hygiene Level 2 training and any other required training and Taking responsibility for your wellbeing and being aware and adhering to Health and Safety and Food Hygiene Policies and Procedures.Bridgend County Borough Council offers great opportunities for people wishing to work in the Social Care sector and you will be supported to attend training and further develop your learning as well as opportunities to support a career progression in the sector.We are looking for people with sound values, respectful, able to contribute and make a difference to people’s lives.
