Our short stay and emergency accommodation are front line services which specialise in providing support to people with learning disabilities and associated needs such as Autism, complex behaviours, physical disabilities, dementia and complex health needs
The role will involve:-
Working flexibly across short stay and emergency accommodation services where priority of need is required
Providing flexible and high quality support, care and advice which focuses on individuals strengths, goals and diverse needs in a person centred way that promotes active engagement and individualised planning and support
Contributing to and implementing the principles and procedures of positive behaviour support, working with individuals with complex needs.
Providing support with all aspects of daily living and skills teaching which may include; community activities, household and domestic tasks, shopping and food preparation, personal hygiene, dressing and personal appearance.
Taking an active role and contribute to the development of person centred plans including positive risk assessments and associated guidelines / guidance where required.
Night Duties, Sleeping In, Weekend Working, Standby Duties and Emergency Response are a requirement of this post.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.

A valid driving licence is requirement for this post.
