Porthcawl Comprehensive School is a Green 1A school which serves the popular seaside town of Porthcawl. We are an extremely high achieving school and have approximately 1250 pupils which includes a large flourishing Sixth Form.
On the retirement of our long standing and very successful Headteacher, Governors are seeking to appoint a strong and inspirational school leader, who will continue to lead all staff in achieving the highest educational standards for our pupils.
Applications are sought from an experienced Headteacher, senior leader or educational professional, with a proven track record of success. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate they have the required skills, expertise and experience to ensure this school continues to build on its history of strong school inspection, within a culture of rigorous school improvement.

Ensure the school achieves the highest standards as measured by local and national benchmarks;4. Appreciate and fully support the contribution made to high achievement by all teaching and support staff across our school community;5. Ensure resources and funding are fully and effectively used and always student focussed;6. Listen to and work with all stakeholders, (parents, carers, governors and community partners) towards serving the needs of our pupils;7. Understand the extremely important place that this school has in the lives of this seaside community and will proudly represent us as our public face.
