We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to work within the Social Services & Wellbeing Children’s commissioning team. Improving outcomes for children social care is a high priority for BCBC, this post will play a vital role in shaping and transforming services and will contribute towards our change agenda through the effective strategic planning, development and monitoring of essential social care services, working closely alongside our key partners in provider services, health and the Third Sector.
You will need excellent communication skills and understand how strategic planning links with operational activity. In terms of our existing working arrangements, as a team we are all currently working from home, and a new model of working across the council is in development.
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
Criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
The council’s Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post. This provides a framework for establishing how you will undertake working hours between your home and the office.
