This is an exciting time to join Bridgend CBC as we continue to remodel the way we meet the needs of children and young people who need our support. The homes provide placements of varying lengths to children/young people in the age range 7 to 18 years (at the time of admission) who (for whatever reason) cannot live with their own immediate or extended family.
The homes are committed to offering a stimulating, safe, caring environment that promotes a holistic approach to all aspects of the child/young person’s life. As a Children’s Residential Worker, you will be supported to access a range of training to help you fulfil the role. You will need to be willing to complete the required induction to register with Social Care Wales and complete the required qualification for the role within an agreed timeframe as set out by Social Care Wales qualification framework. Your duties could include covering night duties, weekend duties, sleeping-in and emergency response duties, the need to be flexible is key to this role.
