An opportunity has arisen to join Employability Bridgend to support employed participants into an improved labour market position working towards sustainability as part of an integrated Employability Programme. Working as part of a team, the Employability Officer will work to tackle the barriers preventing employed individuals from improving their labour market position through mentoring and support around personal wellbeing and financial literacy.The Employability Officer will work to tackle the barriers preventing employed individuals from improving their labour market position by helping to remove personal and employment-related challenges to progression and addressing in-work poverty. The Employability Officer will work as part of the wider Employability Bridgend Multiply Programme, and externally with partners to ensure a co-ordinated and strategic approach to developing successful customer engagement and maintaining successful partner relationships to ensure opportunities for participants.
We are looking for a staff member who has experience in mentoring individuals and understands the techniques to remove barriers to progression in work to successfully support clients. You will also need to demonstrate an understanding of the impact of in-work poverty and the local labour market and other provision which supports participants to improve their employability. You will need to work flexibly to support clients who are in work so this may entail evening and weekend working on occasions.
